Wison and CFHI Created New Delivery Speed for Hydrogenation Reactor Project

(August 31, 2010, Dalian, China) Today, two hydrogenation reactors, overall contracted by Wison Engineering (China) and jointly manufactured with China First Heavy Industries (hereafter referred as CFHI), have been completed manufacturing and are being shipped to Sichuan Petrochemical Plant of CNPC. The project has spanned only 11 months, from the drawing confirmation of forging parts, fees in to completion of manufacturing, which sets up a new lead-time record of manufacturing single and large forge-welding container. It is a huge advancement of Wison’s capability of project management in manufacturing large petrochemical container and also has established a benchmark of new "China Speed" globally.
 

It is learned that the 130-R-2002 hydrogen refining reactor and 130-R-2003 hydrogen splitting reactor delivered this time are to be used for Oil Refinery Project in Sichuan Petrochemical Plant of CNPC. The project is a demonstration project to comprehensively spur economic and social advancement in China’s southwest regions; and is a benchmark to promote the capability of centralized arrangement of leading manufacturing, optimization of resource deployment, organic combination of management and operation and integrated application of featuring technologies. The delivery of hydrogenation reactor ahead of schedule is conducive to smooth project progress and makes a positive contribution to implementing the strategy for the development of the western regions.

He couldn’t keep calm at the thought of the arduous efforts that all staff had made.
 

In order to avoid the dry season of Minjiang River (a gateway to Sichuan for large cargo ships) started from October, the two hydrogenation reactors must be completed and shipped by the end of August, which exerts more pressure on the tight manufacturing schedule. According to updated planning, Wison and CFHI increased manpower and material input and managed material procurement and sub-contracting in a more scientific manner. Besides that, the two companies have fully mobilized all resources and deployed dedicated people to track the whole manufacturing process and adjust the process accordingly. All forging processing had been completed by the end of April, which provides solid guarantee to shorten the whole manufacturing period.
 

Considering the extremely tight schedule, Wison and CFHI used stack welding by multi-stations and dual heads. The 24-hour operation and synchronous beam welding have greatly improved productivity. Since radiographic testing resources are not sufficient, TOFD is used instead of RT, greatly reducing non-destructive testing cycle. This project is awarded with many priorities, including the usage of RT devices, vertical lathes and stack welding stations, which is also a key factor to ensure overall accelerating this project.
 

As the well-know Chinese poem says, sharp sword comes from tempering and the fragrance of plum comes from the hard coldness. Efficient and quality delivery of each project is Wison’s constant commitments to our customers. This successful completion of hydrogenation reactor project has fully demonstrated our capability. By continuous hardworking, Wison is sure to make grand achievement in chemical equipment sector.
