Wison Engineering Participating in the “2011 MTO Development Opportunities Conference”

On May 25th to 26th, 2011, Wison Engineering LTD, was invited for a keynote speech in “2011 MTO Development Opportunities Conference” held in Beijing by China. On behalf of Wison Engineering, Mr. Li Yansheng, technical director of Wison Engineering, made a presentation on The Application of MTO Separation Technology .
 

With the increasing energy consumption in recent years, China becomes the second oil consumer in the world, ranking behind the United States. 50% of its oil consumption is dependent on the export from foreign countries. In view of the resources reserve situation in China——abundance in coal, lack of oil and gas, Mr. Li Yansheng expresses that MTO (Methanol To Olefins) technology has created a new way by using coal or natural gas to produce basic organic chemical materials. It is not only the most promising approach to replace the traditional petroleum-based olefin production, but also an effective way to realize the value chain extension from coal-to-chemical to petrochemical production. China’s domestic companies should work together to develop the advanced MTO technology,and promote the practical adaptation of this technology so that it could become an effective complementary technology for the traditional ethylene industry. With this vision in mind, Wison Engineering started its development of MTO separation technology as early as 2006, which was listed in Shanghai Enterprise Technology Center’s Capability Building Project., also was approved by the Science & Technology Progress Division of Shanghai Municipal Economic Commission in December 2008. Meanwhile, Wison Engineering has been recognized as one of the domestic leading engineering companies by owning independent intellectual property rights on the separation technology of methanol to olefin.
 

The birth of Wison MTO separation technology breaks through the bottleneck of low technology and equipment localization in the domestic industry, The separation technology uses the precutting oil absorption separation technology to replace traditional deeply cryogenic demethanation system, which simplifies the production process, saves the high investment in cryogenic separation unit and ethylene refrigeration compressor and lowers energy consumption. Meanwhile, it uses an effective method to remove oxy-compound and light gases such as nitrogen, oxygen, CO and DME, in a simple and reliable production process, which can be adaptable to the changes of these components mix . The new technology guarantees a high yield of ethylene and propylene with low energy consumption. In addition, the technology can ensure safe and stable operation of devices for a long period, effectively preventing coking and scaling in the facility. The whole complex facility is integrated by optimized conventional units with proved successful operation record.
 

During the bidding for Malaysian TITAN Company In 2007, Wison’s MTO separation technology received high appraisal from the client, and was considered as a "reliable technology with simple production process, less equipment investment and low energy consumption", Both parties signed a technology export agreement. In 2010, the technology was adopted by Shaanxi Pucheng Clean Energy Chemical Industry Ltd. in the olefin separation plant of the 70KTA DMTO-II demonstration project, breaking the market monopoly by foreign companies
