Wison Engineering Signs EPC Contract with Shaanxi Pucheng for Polyethylene Plant Construction

Release time:2012-03-23

On 8 March in Shaanxi province, Wison Engineering Ltd. and Shaanxi Pucheng Clean Energy Chemical Co., Ltd. signed an EPC contract for the construction of the latter’’s brand new 30KTA PE plant and PE/PP packaging warehouse. This latest deal comes after Wison Engineering provided basic engineering design services for the plant in 2011.

The new plant is an important part of Pucheng Clean Energy’’s 70KTA coal-to-olefins project, and is also the first EPC project undertaken by Wison Engineering in the polyethylene field. Following the successful delivery of the basic engineering design in 2011, Wison Engineering immediately commenced work on the detailed design in September of the same year. Currently, construction work at the project site is progressing on schedule, with the handover expected by the end of 2013.

Among those in attendance at the signing ceremony were Liu Haijun, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Wison Engineering, and Chairman Liu Peirong, General Manager Fan Liming and Chief Engineer Yao Guohua of Pucheng Clean Energy. Wison Engineering’’s Senior Vice President Liu Haijun said: "Wison will spare no effort, making full use of its professional team and strong coordination and planning capabilities to achieve the fast, high-quality, and safe completion of the project’’s EPC contract objectives."

Wison Engineering and Pucheng Clean Energy began working together in 2010 with the adoption, by Pucheng, of Wison’’s independently developed MTO olefin separation technology, a collaboration that also marked a key step in the industrialization of Wison’’s coal chemical technology. This renewed collaboration further demonstrates the mutual trust that underpins the partnership between both parties, paving the way for Wison Engineering to provide a one-stop service – from basic engineering design through to EPC contracting – for Pucheng”s new polyethylene plant.”
