Wison Engineering Delivers 600,000 tpa Methanol Facility to Jinchengtai

Wison Engineering Services Co. Ltd. (HKEx: 02236) (“Wison Engineering” or the “Company”), China’s largest private chemical EPC contractor, announced that its indirect non-wholly owned subsidiary Wison Engineering Ltd delivered its 60,000 tpa methanol facility project to Jinchengtai Chemical Co., Ltd. according to high standards on December 31, 2012. The facility is expected to begin its test run in February 2013.

For this project, Wison Engineering provided engineering design and project management services to the customer. Given the unfavorable natural conditions at the project's location on the edge of the desert, Wison Engineering made full use of its rich engineering project management experience to overcome the adverse factors of limited transportation options of the location and the difficulty of construction work in desert regions in order to proactively accommodate the customer and to satisfactorily complete delivery to high standards by the end of 2012.

Zheng Shifeng, vice president of Wison Engineering, stated: "The Jinchengtai methanol project epitomizes Wison Engineering's comprehensive strengths in the area of coal/chemical engineering. Its satisfactory completion has brought us valuable experience for our 600,000 tpa methanol project for Xukuang Changqing Energy and Chemical, our 700,000 tpa coal-to-olefin project for Pucheng, and our 400,000 tpa coal-to-methanol project for Erdos Guotai Chemical, which are currently under construction."

The 600,000 tpa methanol project is phase-one of Jingchengtai’s 1.8 million tpa coal-to-methanol project, which will process clean coal into methanol and downstream products.
