Wison Engineering & Sinomec Jointly Awarded RMB5 Billion EPC Contract for Clean Coal Utilization Project

(24 December 2018, Shanghai) Wison Engineering (Stock code: 2236.HK), the global leading engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) service provider, has been officially awarded an EPC contract for 2,400 KTA Semi-coke Carbon Clean Utilization Project and the newly developed 200 KTA Coal Tar Intensive Processing and Utilities Project (the "Hami Project") on the afternoon of 24 December by Hami Tianhe Investment Co. Ltd. ("Hami Tianhe"), a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd, with Sinomec Refinery & Chemical Corp. Ltd. ("Sinomec") jointly. The total contract value amounts to more than RMB5 billion, of which Wison Engineering will receive a share equivalent to approximately RMB2 billion.

As the general engineering design contractor, Wison Engineering will provide the overall design service, the basic and detailed design of public utilities and auxiliary facilities. Meantime, the Company will organize and coordinate the designing institutes to offer engineering design service in high-quality. In addition, Wison Engineering has signed an EPC contract for two main process units of this Project as well.

Separately, Wison Engineering will take an active role in constructing an associated major thematic demonstration projects (1,000 KTA pulverized coal pyrolysis technology) named by Ministry of Science and Technology, contributing to the prevailing development of China clean coal utilization.
